My name is Brandy Shuttera. First, and foremost I am a teacher and a single mom of two children.  Growing up my parents taught me that family comes first and that became a pillar in my life.  Life took a twist on my family in 2013 when my Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer for the second time and unfortunately, he lost his battle in 2014. I knew then how big of an impact cancer can have in life. 

 

In 2019, cancer hit even closer when I was diagnosed with Triple Positive Breast Cancer.  I am blessed and thankful to be able to say today that I am a survivor.  Through these two situations I learned very quickly how difficult chemotherapy can be on the patient and their loved ones which pulled on my heart.  It pulled so much that I decided it was time to help others the way so many people helped me and my family.

 In 2022 I started making Chemo Bags for patients who recently were diagnosed with cancer and starting their cancer journey. It's more than just a bag to me. Everything in the bag has a purpose and each bag is made with love, support and is personalized for the recipient.  As you can imagine creating these bags takes a village and I'm calling on others to help in this journey.  I have been fortunate with the support of my family and friends to provide these bags to all that we can, but it's time to help more people! 

 

This is my true calling, and I am so excited to see the impact I can have on helping others battling this horrible disease.  Thank you for your part in this journey of helping others!
